The Bourassa Boyer Walk Will Begin at the Vaudreuil-Dorion Municipal Arena!

The Bourassa Boyer Walk will being at the Vaudreuil-Dorion Municipal Arena (Vaudreuil rink) located at 9, Jeannotte Street, Vaudreuil-Dorion, Québec, J7V 6L5. Due to the water accumulation in Maison-Valois park and the rain forecast of the next few days, the rallying point and activities planned for the May 7th Walk are being transferred indoors. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk will start as planned at 10 a.m.

Since the Municipal Arena has ample parking spaces, the shuttle and parking lot originally booked at Cité-des-Jeunes High School will be cancelled.

The Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Foundation (VSPCRF) looks forward to seeing you join us for the sixth edition of this annual walk which will now take place under a new indoor and outdoor formula. We wish to express our utmost gratitude to the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion for their collaboration enabling us to change locations and propose a modified formula for this major event.

Programming

In addition to having the opportunity to walk one of three circuits (3, 5 or 7 km), participants will have a variety of activities and kiosks to choose from. Young and not so young are sure to find something to recharge and enjoy.

Face painting by Production Mackéo, a creative art workshop with Deirdre Potash and a bow and arrow challenge organized by Centre Notre-Dame-de-Fatima are some of the activities that will be offered all morning. The first walkers to return from the circuits will be greeted by Heleen Couvrette from H-OM Yoga who will lead a relaxation segment to the negro spiritual vocals of chœur Chants de Coton. Between 11 a.m. and noon, Véronique Berlinguette of Cardio Plein Air and Sherry Owen with Action Sport Physio will get people moving to the rhythms of Flirt Band. The Foundation thanks them all for graciously offering their services so our participants can enjoy diverse activities. A very special activity is planned with a giant ball right before announcing the funds raised.

There is a variety of food and beverages being sold too. Coffees and hot chocolate from Cafexo, apples and bananas from Serres Vaudreuil, muffins from Verger Labonté and hot dogs prepared by the team of the Chevalier de Colomb, District 47. All this will be offered at a nominal price to help the Foundation raise funds and walkers will receive water bottles thanks to Jean Coutu Pharmacy on avenue Saint-Charles in Vaudreuil-Dorion.
