The Happening gala, an evening of color and flavor
Last January, the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence held its 19th Happening gala. Over 290 guests gathered to celebrate life until the end. The organization's flagship event was once again held at the Château Vaudreuil, and raised $138,321 (net).

Under the theme of art, everyone was able to put their talent to work. Each participant was invited to paint on the giant mural representing the Maison's emblem, the dragonfly. The community work will be completed at the Maison by employees, volunteers, patients and families. Guests were also treated to a live painting by artist Yves Duchesneau and a make-up artist.

Throughout the evening, guests were able to participate in a variety of fundraising activities, including the Gift Bar, a silent auction and a live auction with priceless prizes, including a visit from Nav Canada, our air traffic controller. All this was followed by the exhilarating Hommage à Elton John show and the traditional call to Ambassadors. Moved by the testimonial video highlighting Mr. Bourbeau's story, over 40 people spontaneously raised their hands to make a $1,000 donation. A moment of pure emotion that deeply touched the fiber of generosity.

COMMITTED PARTNERS AND SPONSORS
Finally, it's essential to mention that the Happening is the fruit of a collective effort that relies on the support of invaluable partners and sponsors. The Foundation would like to thank them for their unwavering support: Groupe Auto Force for the valet service, IGA Famille Déziel for the decorations, Château Vaudreuil for the cocktail reception, Groupe DPJL for the red carpet & checkroom, the SAQ for the sparkling wine, Caroline Salette équipe immobilière for the coasters and Sanivac for the virtual auction.
