An electrifying musical evening and a very generous amount raised!

It was a perfect combination :  unparalleled generosity, an unexpected generous gift and guests swept away by popular singer Sylvain Cossette and his musicians who performed the greatest rock hits from the 80s as well as moments of pure emotion that reached a peak in generosity.

More than 400 guests enjoyed the thrilling atmosphere at the Pavillon sur le Lac at the Chateau Vaudreuil to celebrate the 14th edition of the 2019 Happening fundraising gala on Saturday, January 26. The gala benefiting the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence (VSPCR) collected an amount of $ 468,525.  The honorary presidency of the event was assumed by Mr. Jocelyn Dame, President of Sanuvox Technologies.

The generosity of this honorary president took an unexpected turn.  He announced during the evening that his company was donating a disinfection system unit for the patient rooms.  The device, worth more than $ 20,000, can disinfect a room in less than five minutes. It will allow the Residence to reduce its labor costs.

Tribute to a dedicated former member of the board of directors

The Foundation also recognized the outstanding contribution and the ongoing dedication of Mr. Paul A. Normand, Board Member from 2012 to 2018.

The ambassadors

The exaltation paused momentarily when a video that was presented on giant screens drew the tears of some guests… and raised the compassion of more than 45 of them, who stood up to become Ambassadors of the Foundation. In this short video, a lady, two young boys and a volunteer share their appreciation and gratitude towards the care team, who accompanied a relative throughout his stay at the Residence.
