The isolation and worry that result from the current pandemic and social distancing context can become a heavy burden to bear for those who lost a loved one just before or during lockdown.
Contrary to work, social gatherings and leisure activities, grief can’t be put on hold. For those who are mourning a loss under these circumstances, psychological support is vital. This is why the Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence has set up small-group, virtual bereavement support sessions.
These free meetings, facilitated by the Residence's psychosocial coordinator, are hosted on Zoom.
Everyone is welcomed to attend and share their experiences and feelings since, let's not forget, communication is an essential healing tool during grief.
The meetings are held three times per week at dates that will be determined by the participants’ availability.
