Dre Geneviève Chaput appointed as the Residence's Medical Director

She his physician at the Residence since 2018, Dre Chaput was appointed as interim Medical Director at the beginning of 2020. She was recently appointed as Medical Director.

She is also an attending physician at the McGill University Health Centre with a dedicated practice exclusive to cancer patients. Her expertise on what to expect after cancer for patients and caregivers is renowned and she developed and implemented several cancer survivorship initiatives.

She was the recipient of the Henry Shibata Cedars Cancer Foundation award in support of cancer survivorship expertise acquisition.

In 2015, she obtained a Certificate of Added Competency in Palliative Medicine from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).

Dr Chaput has an active research profile in cancer care and palliative medicine, and serves on cancer care committees.
