On the path to humanity

The Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence Annual walk has always been a unifying event, full of wonderful stories, sharing and encounters that do us good. So it's with great emotion that we announce the next edition, which will take place on Sunday May 26 (starting at 8:30 a.m.) at Parc Nature les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare.

Young and old alike will be able to celebrate, with on-site entertainment including a musical performance by singer Virginie Cummins, backing vocalist for the past 14 years on En direct de l'univers. The day will also be energized by Djamboola Fitness warm-ups. Refreshments and snacks will also be available on site.

Getting active, sharing good times, honoring a loved one and building relationships are all part of this essential fundraising activity at the Residence. The funds raised enable people at the end of life and their loved ones to benefit from excellent, humane palliative care.

Those who are unable to join us on site can still show their support, simply by making a donation directly to the Walk or by supporting a team. Whatever the amount raised, every donation is appreciated and, above all, essential.

The Vaudreuil-Soulanges Palliative Care Residence offers free care to residents of the region and surrounding area. To maintain this free service, however, we need to raise over $1.4 million in philanthropic funding each year. This year, our goal for the walk is $75,000.

We would like to extend our warmest thanks to Canadian Tire of Vaudreuil-Dorion as the official presenter of our annual walk. Thanks to their strong reputation in the region, Canadian Tire's presence at the event demonstrates a socially responsible company with human values that is involved in its community. Thank you for your generosity!
